This was exactly the position of the rising moon that I had been waiting for - framed by the roofline and flagpole.
Whilst I was making this photograph, the tide was coming in fast up the beach - I ended up having to alternately stand on & off the nearby groyne whilst the water lapped around the base of the tripod. Good job the shutter release had a long cable!
By the time I had finished the shoot, it was night and the tide was still chasing me up the beach.
